About this mechanical supervisor gift
A mechanical supervisor usually started on the floor, turning wrenches or running a press, and got promoted because they knew the equipment and the crew. Their days are split between the shop floor, the maintenance schedule, the parts order and the phone call that starts with a machine down. They've earned the job the slow way, so the gifts they'll keep tend to name the work itself. A tee or hoodie with their title says it plainly, and adding their plant, shift or crew makes it specific to their life. Shop people wear their gear on the job, so a shirt that can take oil and a little grease tends to get worn more than a fancy one. A mug on the supervisor's desk is also a quiet way to say you noticed the hard part of the role, which is keeping everyone on schedule.
