About this program officer gift
A program officer usually sits between the money and the work: they read proposals, check grantee reports, sit through site visits and try to keep a portfolio of projects moving on schedule. Most days are spent on email, budget spreadsheets and calls that run long, and the wins are quiet ones, like a grantee finally hitting a milestone they'd been chasing for a year. A gift that acknowledges that work tends to land well. A tee or hoodie is good for the casual Friday or the weekend they take off from inbox duty. A mug suits the desk, where the coffee is often the only thing keeping the afternoon going. For a team, one shared design with every program officer's name on their own shirt is a nice way to mark a colleague's promotion or a long-serving staff member's last week. Add their name, their foundation's program area or their start year to make it theirs.
