About this visual designer gift
Visual designers spend their days making things look right, and they usually notice a badly kerned sign or an off-brand color before anyone else does. A gift for them should respect that eye. A clean tee they'll actually wear to a client meeting or a studio critique beats a loud joke shirt. Their job title on a shirt or mug is a nice nod to the work they're proud of, and a hoodie is good for long hours in a cold studio or a late-night deadline at the kitchen table. A mug suits the desk, where most of their coffee gets drunk while they zoom in on pixels. The best version of this gift is the one that shows you noticed what they do: their title, set in a typeface you can tell they'd approve of, on something they'll reach for every day.
