About this nguyen gift
Nguyen is the most common surname in Vietnam and one of the most common among Vietnamese families in the US, so a Nguyen shirt means something different from a generic last-name tee. At a family gathering it's how cousins, aunts and uncles spot each other across the room. Tet is one of the biggest occasions for it, usually falling in late January or February, when the whole family comes together and everyone wants the photo. You can add the year, the city your family settled in, or the grandparents' names on a second line, and the design becomes yours. A Nguyen mug suits the kitchen where the older generation holds court, and a onesie lets the newest family member join the matching set from the start. If you're organizing a big group, the Team Shop prints one design with each person's first name on their own shirt.
