About this alsip gift
Alsip is a village on the southwest side of Chicago, in Cook County, Illinois, and the people who grew up there tend to carry it with them. A shirt with Alsip on it is how they show their hometown pride, whether they still live a few miles away or have moved across the country. It works for the high school reunion, the family visit at the holidays, or just the weekend they finally get back to the old neighborhood. Since Alsip is a small place, a second line makes the gift personal: a street, a graduation year, or the name of the family who lived there for generations. For someone who has left and misses home, an 11 oz mug with Alsip on it is a daily reminder every time they make their morning coffee. For a kid, a kids tee or onesie with the village name starts a habit of wearing where they're from.
