About this maine gift
Maine people have a particular loyalty to the place. Some live on a lobster boat out of Stonington, some in a Portland apartment, some a few states away with a Maine plate frame still on the wall. A Maine shirt is how they say where home is, whether they're up for the summer, back for a camp weekend or just missing the coast in February. It's a state of small towns, so putting Bar Harbor, Kennebunkport, Bangor or Rangeley on the second line makes it more theirs than a souvenir tee. Maine is also a state people retire to and visit every summer for decades, which makes a hoodie a good fit for cool evenings on the porch. For the one who moved away, a Maine mug is a small morning reminder of pine trees and cold water. For a family camp week, a matching set is hard to beat.
