About this new gloucester gift
New Gloucester is a small town in Maine, and the people who call it home tend to be proud of how quiet and rooted it is. A shirt with the town name is how they show that to the rest of the world: at the county fair, at the high school game, or on the trip out of state when someone asks where they're from. For a native who's moved away, it's a quick way to say home without a long explanation. For someone who grew up there, a hoodie or a mug works well for the cold months, when the town feels most like itself. Because the name is a little unusual, many people will ask about it, so a shirt is a good conversation starter. You can add a second line for a street, a graduating class or a year, and it turns a town name into something personal to the person wearing it.
