About this pemberton gift
Pemberton is a small place name, and I don't know enough about it to describe its streets, its history or its people with any confidence. What I can say is that a town name on a shirt tends to mean the most to someone who grew up there, moved away, or married into a family rooted in it. A Pemberton shirt is a way to claim the place: for a homecoming, a family visit, or a trip back to see old friends. If the town is small, a second line with a street, a neighborhood or the year they left can make the shirt specifically theirs. For a newcomer who's just settling in, a mug with the town name on it can be a warm first-home gift. Tell the story behind the name in the second line, because that is where the gift becomes personal.
