About this poynette gift
Poynette is a small village in Columbia County, Wisconsin, and the people who call it home tend to hold on to that tightly, whether they still live there, come back for summer weekends, or left for a job in Madison or Milwaukee and never quite stopped saying they're from Poynette. A shirt with the village name is the kind of thing that gets worn to the county fair, the high school game, the reunion at the local bar, or just around the house on a Saturday. Because the place is small, the details that matter are the ones only locals recognize, so a second line with a graduating class year, a street, or a family name will mean more than the name alone. For someone who moved away, a Poynette mug is the easy way to remind them where they're from every morning. Since I don't know much about the village beyond its name and location, the most reliable way to personalize the gift is to ask the recipient what part of Poynette they'd want on it.
