About this salinas gift
Salinas is a city in California's Salinas Valley, known for its farms and the agriculture that keeps the region running, and as the hometown of John Steinbeck. The word works two ways here: as a surname for a family whose name carries a lot of weight, and as a place name for someone who grew up in or near the valley. Either way, the person you're buying for probably has strong feelings about where they come from. A tee or hoodie with the name on it suits a family reunion, a hometown visit or a trip back to the valley. For someone who has moved away, a mug with Salinas on it is the daily reminder of home. Add a year, a family line or a second word underneath and the shirt starts to feel like theirs rather than a generic souvenir.
