About this springfield gift
Springfield is one of those names that belongs to a lot of places, from Illinois and Missouri to Massachusetts and Oregon, so the shirt usually means one specific town to the person who wears it. A Springfield tee is how someone who grew up there says so at a reunion, a ballgame or a trip back for the holidays. It's also a common hometown for people who moved away for school or work and still want a little piece of it on the kitchen counter. The best gifts reflect that tie: a hoodie for the cold-weather walk to the old high school, a mug for the morning coffee of someone who misses home, or a tee for a kid who will one day have to explain where they're from. Add the state or a neighborhood on the second line if you know it, since that's what makes the shirt theirs and not just any Springfield.
