About this keweenaw bay gift
Keweenaw Bay is a bay on the south shore of Lake Superior in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, and the name carries a lot of weight for people from the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community and the towns around it. A shirt or mug with the bay's name is a way to claim that place, whether the person lives there now, grew up along the shore, or moved away and misses the cold lake wind. Keep the wording simple and accurate, and let the design do the talking. A dark tee suits the long northern winters, a hoodie is the thing they'll reach for on a windy dock in October, and a mug is the morning reminder of home for someone who's been gone a while. If you're not sure how the name is pronounced or spelled, check it against a source you trust before you order, since the preview will show exactly what gets printed.
