About this kulm gift
Kulm is a small town, and the people who grew up there tend to carry it with them. A Kulm shirt is for the former resident who moved to a bigger city and still tells people where they're from, for the family that comes back for the annual homecoming or the summer visit, and for the newborn whose parents want their roots on the first outfit. Because the town is small, a Kulm shirt has a built-in audience: anyone who knows the place will recognize it, and that recognition is most of the gift. Add a graduation year, a family name or the year they left, and it becomes a keepsake rather than a souvenir. A mug works well for the grandparent who still lives in town and wants a daily reminder that the family's story runs through it.
