About this smoketown gift
Smoketown is a small place to be the word on a shirt, and that's part of what makes it land. Someone who grew up there, or who still goes back for family and church and the corner store, usually feels a strong pull toward the name. A Smoketown tee is a way of saying where they come from without a long explanation, and it works equally well for someone who never left and for the cousin who moved to a bigger city and misses the hometown feel. Because it's a single word, the design stays clean, and you can add a second line for a street, a graduation year or the name of their high school if you want it more personal. For a hoodie, the cold months are when it gets worn most, and a mug on the kitchen table keeps the name in front of them every morning. If you're not sure how the name is pronounced or spelled locally, ask a family member before you order, since they'll know best how the place is referred to.
