About this stick insect gift
Stick insects are the quiet ones of the bug world, built to look like twigs and leaves and to hold still until a threat passes. A gift for someone who loves them is for a person who likes the small, strange, slow things: a terrarium on the windowsill, a patient hand for feeding time, a fascination with how a creature can be nearly invisible in plain sight. Stick insects are also a favorite first pet for kids and new keepers, so a shirt or onesie can mark the start of that hobby. Some of their names are a little silly and a little sweet, and they make good conversation starters. If you know whether your recipient keeps a colony or just admires them from a field guide, you can pick between a day-to-day tee and a mug for the morning coffee. Add a second line with a name or a species nickname to make it theirs.
