About this anchorman gift
Anchormen read the news in a calm voice, hit their mark on the second, and somehow keep a straight face through a story about a skateboarding dog. The people who love them tend to have a sense of humor about the job, and the best gifts play along. A shirt with their name where the nameplate would go, a mug sized for the early call time, a hoodie for the cold studio and the longer drive home afterward. Anchorman is also a famously quotable word in the movies, so if your anchor can take a joke, lean into it. If they're more serious, keep it clean: just their name and the title. Use the second line to add their station, their time slot or the years they've been behind the desk. Retirement and big anniversaries are the moments when a gift like this matters most, and a design with their name on it will get worn and used long after the party ends.
All anchorman gifts →- A tee with their name on the deskType their name on the second line so the shirt reads like the nameplate. It's a simple joke the whole newsroom will get.
- A mug for the early call timeAn 11 oz mug with their name and a title like Anchorman or Morning Anchor. It sits on the desk next to the script.
- A hoodie for the long commuteStudios run cold and broadcast days start early. Add the number of years they've been on air and it doubles as a milestone gift.
- A kids tee for the little co-anchorA kids shirt with Anchorman Jr. or the child's own name is a good one for the family photo, or for a kid who already narrates everything.
