About this clerk checker gift
Grocery clerks and checkers spend their shifts on their feet, scanning, bagging and answering the same questions about where the bread is. The gifts they actually use tend to be practical and a little bit proud: a soft tee for the drive in, a hoodie for the chilly freezer aisle, a mug that's clearly theirs for the break room. What lands best is the detail that shows you know the work. Put their name on it, and add the store or the role on a second line, so it reads as theirs rather than generic retail merch. A checker who's been at the same register for years will likely appreciate a shirt that says something about the job and the long hours behind it. Keep it simple and warm, and the gift will get worn to the next shift.
