About this economics instructor gift
Economics instructors spend their days turning supply and demand into something a nineteen-year-old can follow, and they usually do it with a half-dead marker and a stack of problem sets to grade. A gift that acknowledges that work lands well: a mug for the first coffee of the morning before the lecture, a hoodie for the office hours that run long, or a tee that makes them smile at the faculty lounge. Put their title on it, or add the course they teach, the department or the college, so it reads as theirs and not as a generic teacher shirt. For a colleague or a department full of instructors, a Team Shop order with each person's name on their own shirt is a nice way to mark the end of a semester. Many instructors also get a gift at the end of the academic year, when grades are in and the summer break starts, so timing a little before that is useful.
