About this head baker gift
A head baker is the one who sets the day's schedule, decides what comes out of the oven first, and gets in before the sun so the bread is ready when the doors open. Their hands smell like yeast and their shoes are probably dusted with flour. The gifts that land are the ones that acknowledge the early mornings and the heat of the ovens. A soft tee for the walk to the bakery, a hoodie for the cold walk-in or the dawn drive, a mug for the coffee they drink standing up before the first batch goes in. Putting the words head baker on the front tells them you see what the job actually is, not just the apron. Add the name of the bakery or the shop's neighborhood on the second line if you know it, and the shirt stops being generic and becomes theirs. Bakers rarely get a day off during holiday rushes, so a gift in late November or mid December is a good moment to show you noticed.
