About this indirect fire infantryman gift
Indirect fire infantrymen, the mortar crews of the Army and Marine Corps, carry heavy tubes and ammunition on foot and set up fast when the call comes. Most of the people who will wear this gift are proud of that work and don't talk about it much. A shirt, hoodie or mug with their job title on it is a way of saying you know what they do and respect it. Many designs have a second line, so you can add their unit, a battalion number, a deployment year or a nickname from the platoon. Veterans and active members often keep a few shirts for the gym and the weekend, so a dark tee or a hoodie for cold mornings gets real use. A mug fits the kitchen table or the desk where they catch up on paperwork. Personalizing it with the name or unit they served with makes it feel like theirs rather than a generic military gift.
