About this instructional systems designer gift
An instructional systems designer is the person who turns a messy pile of subject-matter notes into a course that actually makes sense to a new hire. They spend their days with storyboards, learning objectives, and SME interviews, usually a few weeks ahead of the people who will sit through the training. Most of the work is invisible, which makes a gift that names the job feel especially good. A tee with their title lets them say what they do without a long explanation, and a mug on the desk is a small daily nod to the work. Add a second line with a credential they earned, or the team or company they design for, and the shirt becomes specifically theirs. Because the field is full of people who came in from teaching, the military or corporate training, a gift that reflects their route into the role tends to land more than a generic job shirt.
