About this note taker gift
A note taker is the person in the room who keeps the record: the student who fills a notebook in every lecture, the assistant who sits in on the meeting and types up what everyone agreed to, or the disability services note taker whose notes help someone else keep up. Most of them work quietly and rarely get thanked, so a gift that names the job lands well. Think about when they're busiest: exam weeks, the first days of a new semester, long committee sessions. A soft tee or a hoodie is something they'll reach for on those long days, and a mug they can keep at the desk turns a stack of pens and loose paper into a ready-to-go setup. Put their name on it, and add a second line with the course, the department or the year if you know it. That small detail is what makes a note taker feel seen.
