About this staff scientist gift
A staff scientist works inside a lab, a research group or a company's R&D team, often for years on one project that doesn't make headlines. They read papers over lunch, troubleshoot instruments that have been running since before they joined, and keep the shared freezer organized when nobody else will. Their days are mostly careful, unglamorous work, so a gift that acknowledges the actual job tends to land better than a generic science joke. Put the title on the shirt, or add the department or lab name in the second line if you know it. A hoodie suits the cold corner of the building where the good instruments live, and a mug fits the bench where coffee gets cold while they're pipetting. If you're buying for a whole group, the Team Shop lets you pick one design and paste the names, so everyone gets their own size and their own name on it.
