About this switchboard clerk gift
A switchboard clerk is the person who keeps the phones working behind the scenes, routing calls to the right desk, taking messages and answering the questions nobody else wanted. It's a job that rarely gets thanked, which is exactly why a gift with their title on it can land so well. Think about the long shifts at a front desk, the coffee going cold while the lines light up, and the satisfaction of getting a worried caller to the right person. A soft tee for a quiet day off, a hoodie for the chilly office, or a mug that's clearly theirs all say that you noticed what they do. Add their department or the company name in the second line if they're comfortable sharing it, or the number of years they've been on the board. It turns a generic job shirt into something that reflects their own work.
