About this business associate gift
A business associate is someone who shows up to the same meetings, shares the same long quarter, and keeps the same deadlines as you, even if they don't sit in your reporting line. The gifts that land with them are the everyday ones: a mug for the desk that gets reheated coffee at 3 p.m., a hoodie for the chilly conference room, a tee for the weekend they're finally doing something unrelated to work. Because the role itself is broad, the most useful thing you can do is make the gift about them rather than the title. Put their first name on it, or add the team or project they've been carrying for the last year. A business associate might be a partner, a vendor contact, a consultant or a colleague from another department, so a gift that's warm but not overly personal usually fits best. Keep it light, make it specific to them, and it will read as thoughtful rather than obligatory.
All business associate gifts →- A mug for the deskAn 11oz mug with their name gets used every morning and is hard to mistake for anyone else's in the break room.
- A hoodie for the cold officeMany offices run the air conditioning hard, so a hoodie they can wear on a long call or a plane ride is a practical pick.
- A tee for the weekendChoose a light or dark tee with their name so they have something to wear that isn't a work shirt.
- A team shirt for a shared projectIf you worked on a project together, use the Team Shop to put each person's name on one shared design.
