About this ames gift
Ames is a college town in central Iowa, and a lot of its people end up spread across the state and beyond after they leave. Students come for the university and the campus is most of the town's energy. Long-time residents tend to have strong ties to the community and a quiet pride in it. A gift that says Ames works for the graduate heading out, the alum who misses football Saturdays, or the friend who's lived there their whole life. Keep the shirt simple and let the word do the talking, then add a second line with a year they moved in, the year they graduated, or the neighborhood they grew up in. For someone who left, an Ames mug on the kitchen counter is a small daily reminder of where they're from. For a student, a hoodie is the thing they'll wear through their first Iowa winter.
