About this arabi gift
Arabi is a small community in St. Bernard Parish, just downriver from New Orleans, and people who call it home tend to hold on to it tightly. A shirt that says Arabi is how a resident or former resident carries that identity into the rest of their life, whether they still live a few blocks from where they grew up or have moved across the country. It's a place where neighbors know each other, so a design that marks the town reads as a quiet point of pride rather than a tourist souvenir. Add a street, a neighborhood nickname or the year they moved back, and it becomes personal. For someone who has left, a mug with their hometown on it is a small daily reminder of where they're from. Arabi is also a good fit for a hoodie in the cooler months, the kind of thing worn to a parish event or a family gathering.
