About this arts manager gift
Arts managers keep the lights on for a theater, gallery, orchestra or arts council, which means they spend their days on budgets, grant deadlines, board meetings and a dozen last-minute problems they can't talk about with anyone outside the building. They're often the person who stayed late for the opening night that everyone else gets to enjoy. A gift that acknowledges the work lands best: a tee for the tech weekend when they're in the building from dawn until the house closes, a hoodie for the cold loading dock, or a mug for the desk where the grant reports get written. Put their title on it, arts manager, and add the organization's name or the year they started if that feels right. It's the kind of gift that says you noticed what the job actually takes, and that's what most arts managers rarely hear.
