About this aspen hill gift
Aspen Hill is a community in Montgomery County, Maryland, and people who live there tend to know it well: the shopping along Georgia Avenue, the local parks, the commute into Silver Spring or DC. A shirt or mug with Aspen Hill on it is a way to claim that place, whether the person is a longtime resident or someone who moved in for the schools and stayed for the neighborhood feel. Because it's a specific community rather than a famous city, the gift lands best when it's personal to the person. Add their street, their school, or the year they moved in on the second line. For a family moving away, a mug with the town name is the kind of thing that gets used every morning in the new kitchen. It's a small, honest way to say you know where they're from.
