About this bad axe gift
Bad Axe is a small town in the Thumb of Michigan, the flat stretch of farmland that sticks out like the thumb on a mitten. People who grew up there tend to carry the name everywhere, and a shirt with Bad Axe on it is a quick way to say where you're from without a long explanation. It's a gift for the former high school kid who now lives three states away, the relative who still drives back for the county fair, or the friend who laughs every time someone asks about the name. Because the town is small, a shirt with the name and a second line for a graduation year, a family name or a street can mean much more than a generic town tee. For someone who misses home, a mug on the kitchen counter is a daily reminder of where they started, and a hoodie is the thing they reach for when the weather turns.
