About this bass harbor gift
Bass Harbor is a small village on the western end of Mount Desert Island in Maine, and people who grew up there or summer there tend to hold on to it hard. Lobster boats, foggy mornings and a lighthouse that gets photographed endlessly are the kind of details that make someone say home without thinking. A shirt or mug with Bass Harbor on it is a way to carry that place around, whether the person still lives there, moved away for work, or only visits each summer. Think about where in the village their memories are: the harbor, the ferry, a favorite cove. Put the place name front and center, and use the second line for a year or a nickname from the summer crowd to make it feel personal. For someone who has left, a mug on the kitchen counter is a small daily reminder of the water they miss.
