About this blue mounds gift
Blue Mounds is a small village in Dane County, Wisconsin, and the name comes from the low bluffs that rise above the prairie there. People tie to a place like this in a personal way: it's where they grew up, where the family farm or the first apartment was, or the town they still drive back to for the fair or a Sunday dinner. A Blue Mounds shirt says that without a long explanation. Add a second line with the street they lived on, the school year they graduated, or a family nickname, and the design becomes a small piece of their own history. For someone who has moved away, a mug with the village name is a morning reminder of where they started. A hoodie suits the cold weather that comes to the prairie, and a kids tee or onesie lets a new generation carry the name forward.
