About this brookings gift
Brookings is a college town in South Dakota, home to South Dakota State University, and a lot of its residents are students, faculty, or families who have stayed put for the schools and the quiet. A Brookings shirt is how someone who grew up there or spent years on campus shows where they're from, whether that's the Friday night at a home game or a trip back for a reunion. Since the city is small and the people who love it are a tight group, a hoodie or tee that reads Brookings tends to get noticed around town. For someone who has moved away, a mug with the city name is a daily reminder of home. If you're buying for a student heading off for their first winter, a hoodie is practical as well as sentimental, and adding the year they graduated or started turns the city name into a memory.
