About this civil engineers gift
Civil engineers spend their working lives on the things everyone else drives over, walks past and turns on a faucet to use: bridges, roads, water mains, dams, and the grading plans that keep a parking lot from flooding. They're often out on a site in a hard hat with a set of plans, or behind a desk checking calculations and reviewing submittals, and they rarely get thanked for any of it. A gift that acknowledges the job lands well. A tee that says Civil Engineer for the site visit, a hoodie for the cold mornings on a job, or a mug for the office where the coffee gets cold while they run the numbers. You can also add their specialty or the firm's name in the second line if they're proud of it, or a license or credential they earned, such as PE, which turns a general shirt into one that's specifically theirs. If you're buying for a whole project team, one design with each person's name on their own shirt makes a better celebration after a finished project than another round of lunch.
