About this coal mountain gift
Coal Mountain is a small place, and the people who grew up near it tend to carry it with them wherever they land. A shirt with the name on it is how they say where they're from, whether that's to someone who's never heard of the place or to a neighbor from the next valley over. Small-town names also have a way of showing up at family reunions, homecomings and the first trip back in the fall, when the hills start to turn. Think about who in particular you're shopping for. A longtime resident might want a plain tee for everyday wear, while someone who left years ago might light up at a hoodie for the cold months in a new city. A mug suits the one who still starts the morning at a kitchen table back home. Use the second line on the design for a year they left, a street, or a family name, and the shirt becomes about their own connection to the place rather than just the name on a map.
