About this deckerville gift
Deckerville is a small town in Sanilac County in Michigan's Thumb, and people who grew up there tend to stay attached to it, whether they're still around or have moved off to bigger cities. A shirt with the town name is how they show it at a high school reunion, at a family cookout, or on a trip back to visit parents. Small towns don't get much merchandise, so a Deckerville shirt or mug often gets more use than a generic souvenir ever would. For someone who has left, the town name on a morning mug is a quiet reminder of where they came from. If you're buying for a current resident, a hoodie for the cold Michigan months is a practical pick. Adding a graduation year, a street, or a family name in the second line makes the gift feel like it was made for them specifically.
