About this doddsville gift
Doddsville is a small place name, and I don't know its history, its landmarks or how locals describe it, so I'd rather not guess at details. What I can say is that people who grew up in a small town usually carry its name with them, whether they still live there or ended up somewhere much bigger. A shirt or mug with the town name is a simple way to say where someone is from, and it works best as a gift for a homesick former resident, a family member who's moved away, or a friend who's proud of a hometown most people have never heard of. For a more personal touch, add a second line with the year they left, their graduating class, or the family name they grew up with. Small-town gifts land when they feel specific to one person, and a little extra text on the design does that more than any generic souvenir could.
