About this dougherty gift
Dougherty is an Irish surname, and in the US it shows up most often in the Midwest and Northeast, so a Dougherty family gathering can cover several states and several generations. A shirt with the family name is how cousins who only see each other once a year spot one another across a crowded backyard, and it's the photo that ends up framed on somebody's fridge. Add a reunion year, the town the family started in, or a branch line like Dougherty Family or the name of a grandparent, and the shirt starts to tell the family's story. The same approach works for weddings, family vacations and holiday photos where everyone wants to match. A mug with the name suits the grandparents' kitchen, where the whole family ends up on Sunday afternoon anyway. If you're organizing the event, the Team Shop lets you pick one design and paste a list of names, so each person gets a shirt with their own first name and their own size.
