About this downieville gift
Downieville is a small Sierra Nevada mountain town, and people who grew up there tend to carry it with them. A Downieville shirt works as a quiet nod to a place most people have never heard of, which makes it a conversation starter for the person who's proud of where they're from. Wear it on a trip back to the foothills, a summer river day, or just around the house when the mountain air is cold. For someone who has moved away, a mug with the town name is a small daily reminder of home. Because the name is distinctive, a shirt or mug is a gift that friends and family will ask about. Add a second line such as a street, a year, or a family name to make it feel personal to the person receiving it.
