About this environmental engineering co op gift
An environmental engineering co op is someone who's splitting their time between the classroom and real work at a firm, agency or plant, usually while they're still an undergraduate. They're learning to size up water treatment systems, air permits and site remediation on the job, and they're probably spending a lot of time in boots and a hard hat, then switching to a laptop for the afternoon. A gift that acknowledges that mix tends to land well. A soft tee they can wear to the field on a warm day, a hoodie for the cold mornings at a sampling site, or a mug for the office where they're still the newest person. Adding the word co op along with their name or school year makes the gift say exactly where they are in their training. Co op terms usually run for several months at a stretch, so a gift tied to a particular rotation or a return to campus will feel timely.
