About this fort irwin gift
Fort Irwin is a US Army installation in the Mojave Desert of southern California, home to the National Training Center where soldiers train in some of the hottest, most open ground the Army uses. The people connected to it often carry the place with them after they leave, through the long convoys, the dust storms and the stretch of sky that seems to go on forever. A Fort Irwin shirt is a way to claim that time, whether it belongs to a soldier, a spouse who lived on post, a family member who visited, or someone who just knows the name from a deployment story. Because the word is a place, the shirt can say a lot with very little: add a unit, a year or a rotation so it becomes a specific memory. A mug is a good choice for the person who misses the desert mornings, and a hoodie suits the cold nights that come even out there.
