About this gays gift
Gays is a small town in Illinois, and the people who grew up there, or still live there, tend to be proud of it in a low-key way. A shirt that says Gays is an easy conversation starter: it gets a laugh, a double take, and a question about where it is. For someone who's left town, it's a wink at home. For someone who never left, it's a plain statement of where they're from. You can keep the design simple and let the town name do the talking, or add a second line for the graduating class, the high school, or the year they moved away. A hoodie suits the cold months, and a mug works for the transplant who keeps their coffee in a city that has no idea where Gays is.
