About this goreville gift
Goreville is a small town in Johnson County, Illinois, in the southern part of the state, close to the Shawnee Hills and the Shawnee National Forest. Someone from a place that small often carries it with them as a point of pride, and a shirt with the town name is an easy way to say where they're from when a stranger asks. It works as a gift for the person who grew up there and still goes back for holidays, for the family member who moved away for work, or for a former classmate who wants something to wear to a reunion. Because the name is short and distinctive, it reads clearly on a tee, a hoodie or a mug. You can add a graduation year, a high school class, or a family name on the second line to make it more personal. If you're buying for someone who has moved far away, a mug on their kitchen counter is a small, daily reminder of home.
