About this grand forks gift
Grand Forks is a city in northeastern North Dakota, on the Red River where it meets the Forks of the Red and Red Lake rivers, and it's the kind of place people stay loyal to even after they've moved on. A Grand Forks shirt is how someone who grew up there, or spent years at the university, or raised a family in town, shows where they're from when they're somewhere else entirely. The winters are long and cold, so a hoodie gets worn more than a tee, and a mug gets used every morning. Add a second line with a neighborhood, a school year or a family name, and the design stops being a generic city souvenir and starts being their Grand Forks. For a transplant missing home, the city name on an 11 oz mug is a small, daily reminder of where they're from.
