About this kaltag gift
Kaltag is a small village on the Yukon River in Alaska, and people who grew up there or still call it home carry that place with them. A shirt with the village name is a way to say where you're from when the question comes up in a new city, and it's a good fit for someone who has moved away for work or school and misses the river, the quiet and the people. Because the place is small, a Kaltag shirt tends to get noticed by the few others who know it, which makes it a conversation starter. For the person who has come home for the summer or the holidays, a shirt or mug with the village name feels like a welcome back. Pick the design that matches their taste, add a second line if you know a family name or a year that matters to them, and the gift will feel like it was made for them rather than for a generic place.
