About this kanawha gift
Kanawha is a name you'll mostly hear in West Virginia, where it covers a county, a river and a valley that's been part of the state's story since long before statehood. People who grew up along the Kanawha River tend to carry that place with them, and a shirt with the word on it is a quick way to say where they're from. It works well for someone who moved away and misses the hills, the river towns and the way people in the valley talk about home. For a local, the city of Charleston and the surrounding county are the places most people will recognize, so a design that says Kanawha reads as home rather than a tourist souvenir. Pick a dark tee for the game-day crowd or a mug for the early-morning coffee that starts the day in the hollers. If you want it to feel personal, add the neighborhood, the high school class year or the name of their own town on the second line.
