About this marine corp base gift
Marine Corps Base is a place people carry with them long after they leave it, whether that's a Marine who trained there, a spouse who lived on base for a few years, or a family that still drives out for the reunion. A shirt with the base name is how they tell the story without saying much, and it's the kind of gift that gets worn on the drive back through the gate. Add a second line with the years they were stationed there, their unit, or the nickname everyone used for the place. Lots of people from a base keep the mug for the kitchen, where the memories come back in the morning. For a spouse or a kid who grew up on base, a hoodie or onesie with the name on it marks where their childhood happened. If you're not sure what to put underneath, ask them what they called the place when they were there, because that answer usually makes the best second line.
