About this markleysburg gift
Markleysburg is a small borough in Fayette County, Pennsylvania, tucked into the Laurel Highlands, and the people who grew up there tend to carry it with them. A town that size runs on a few things: high school football, the church supper, the people who know your grandparents, and the feeling that everybody's got an opinion about everybody else. A shirt with the town name is how someone who left for a job in Pittsburgh or Charlotte says where they're from without a long explanation. It's also a strong gift for the relative who never left and is proud of it. Add a second line with the year they graduated or the street they grew up on and it becomes a conversation starter. Since it's a small place, the name may be unfamiliar to a lot of people, so the design does a lot of work for you: it tells the story the people nearby already know.
