About this merlin gift
Merlin is a town name most people know from the Merlin in Arthurian legend, but the Merlin on a shopper's shirt is usually the place itself, a small community where people know their neighbors and their neighbors' dogs. Since I don't have solid facts about this particular place, the best way to make the gift land is to build it around the person who lives there or came from there. A Merlin tee on game day, a hoodie for the first cold stretch of fall, or a mug for the kitchen counter all say that someone is proud of where they're from. Think about what makes their hometown theirs: the main street, the school, the family that's been around forever. Add the year they moved, the year they were born, or a second line with their neighborhood, and the shirt becomes a personal map of their life there. For someone who left and misses it, a Merlin mug is a small daily reminder of home.
