About this nurse internship gift
A nurse internship is often the first time someone is responsible for real patients, and the hours are long while the learning curve is steep. Interns spend much of their time moving between units, shadowing experienced nurses and trying to remember which supply closet holds the right gauge of IV catheter. A gift that acknowledges this stretch of their career tends to land well. A soft tee they can wear on a day off, a hoodie for cold break rooms during a winter rotation, or a mug that marks them as the one who finally brewed the good coffee. Put their program or unit on the second line if you know it, or add the year they started. That turns a generic nurse shirt into a record of this specific chapter, which is the part they'll remember when the internship is over and they're hired on permanently.
